If Satan can convince you that you have to defend your right to exist, He has given you the makings of one very big inferiority complex. Satan relishes getting men to argue about "nothing." That keeps them from seeing how truly evil he is. As a friend pointed out to me recently, Satan helped put our Savior (his Creator) to death. That sends a pretty strong message to the Being that brought him into existence. Satan hates his Creator and anyone made in His (God's) image. Is there anything WRONG with a person EXISTING? There is nothing wrong with anybody's existence. When we say God never intended the mixing of the races we are essentially saying that God never intended the "racially mixed" to exist. The "fact" is that "racially mixed" people exist. The question is, what do we do about it? We must tell the "defects" they are defective. People might not think they were defective if someone didn't tell them. None of us Christians is going to go up to a "racially mixed" person and tell that they shouldn't exist. We are a little more subtle than that. We just write illogical inflammatory articles and voice our opinions to let others know that God thinks "racial mixing" is wrong. People can make their own decisions on how to torture themselves over it. The conclusion that "mixed" people are inferior to others of "purer" heritage can't be proved. What can be proved is that the genetic process that God designed and put in place works the way its suppose to. Nobody argues that we shouldn't have red, pink, yellow, or orange flowers (or any of the hues in-between). Flower color is a result of the same type of biological function that goes on with people. If I were to make the statement "God never intended there to be pink flowers," you would think I was crazy. Pink flowers do exist. What's wrong with pink flowers? What are the genetic advantages of being "pure?" Eyes see, legs walk and brains think on so called "racially mixed" people. WHAT IS THE PROBLEM? How can people be RACIALLY mixed? God says He made us of one blood (Acts 17:26). How can there be racially mixed people? Note: The term "racially mixed" is an oxymoron. The question might be better stated: "How can racial mixing not happen." For, whenever people have children they "racially mix!" We have arbitrarily "created" a category of people who are inferior because we say they are! Of course the "true believers" of the argument do not see themselves as "racially mixed." Since they have no personal involvement in their illusion, they never think how their baloney will affect their fellow man. Because they are "pure," they can easily hold their "racial" ideas strongly without any affect on their life (other than giving them the illusion that they are superior by virtue of their purity). Like the Pharisees that they are, they look down their noses at and "graciously" infer that the "half-breeds" can make the best of it. From the ivory tower of their self-defined purity, they see no reason to believe that their premise has flaws. Their baloney only affects some other person whom they have genetically distanced themselves from. They truly place a heavy burden on the back of their fellow man. The "racially mixed" person can do nothing about his genetic background. He is left (if he believes this non-sense) to endlessly berate himself for not being "pure." Inwardly he may feel inferior and perhaps cheated. If he is discriminated against as he most always will be, that only proves their point! "If your parents hadn't crossed racial lines then society would not have to punish and discriminate against you!" The logic used in the preceding sentence is abysmal. Rather like saying, If Jesus would have just went along with the status quo, He wouldn't have been sentenced to die on the cross. We give people a license to hate another person. Then, we blame the person being hated instead of the person hating. Go figure! Why should anybody care about what another person feels--let alone someone who shouldn't exist? I do. If I knew the food that you were getting ready to eat was tainted and may make you sick to death, don't you think God would hold me responsible if I didn't let you know? These "silly" ideas about race are poisonous. As long as anyone in the image of God is persecuted anywhere on this earth for reasons beyond their control, I will care (and I hope you will too). More importantly, God cares. In as much as you have done it to the least of these...you have done it unto me (Matthew 25:40). People are suppose to be more important to us than our "silly" ideas. If our ideas conflict with someone else's life we need to toss them out. I don't believe there is anything wrong with my existence nor do I want any of you readers to believe there is anything wrong with yours. Those that strongly think miscegenation (remember it exists purely by definition) is wickedly wrong are playing into the hands of Satan. Only he could be behind the vocal and hateful criticism of someone made in the image of God. Unfortunately, he has deceived some of God's own people in to pushing his propaganda! Make no mistake, Satan hates humans with a passion. He will stop at nothing to persuade us to destroy each other. Someday soon the nations will see him for what he is--a hateful evil being. In the mean time those who want to stay deceived can always do as Adolph Hitler did--persuade others to help them exterminate all the "impure defects" and delude themselves into thinking they do God a service. To be sure, people are passionate about "race." What is a logical, truth loving individual supposed to think when he is presented with arguments about the validity of his or another's existence? Surely, if all the "races" were where they belonged surely there would be no "race" problem. Again the deception is subtle. If there is no "race" problem--why do people hate? HUMAN NATURE IS THE PROBLEM --- NOT RACE!. We need to repent of it and keep God's commandments! To support their "pure race" theory people often use the analogy that animals are bred to be "pure" and have characteristics of a particular sort. However, as anyone familiar with logic knows, reasoning by analogy has problems. Analogies often "break down." One inference does not always follow another. Cluttered desk--cluttered mind? Empty desk--empty mind? In the race/animal analogy the inference is that since animals are bred for certain physical qualities, humans should be also. However, if these highly "bred" animals are to interact with children, a "Mutt," (mixed breed), because of its temperament, is often a better choice. Highly "bred" dogs are often finicky and are not suitable as pets for children. Are humans nothing more than ANIMALS? Nevertheless, humans are not animals. Since the Bible says that man was made in the image of God, it is insulting to infer that God's characteristics could be compared to dog (or any other animal for that matter)! We do not selectively "breed" humans! The Bible says no where to do that. Humans choose their mates by other criteria than just physical characteristics. We do not attribute these non-physical characteristics such as honesty, integrity, humor, and lightheartedness to animals. Because God runs the universe and not Satan or man, people are exactly what and where He wants them to be. What many define as miscegenation is actually the biological process God set in motion doing its job. When any two people have children they are "mixing." Man came up with the idea of cloning--not God. God has the variety He wants because He designed it that way. God may have decided the only way to get blacks to come to America was to enslave them and bring them on ships. He may have let there be a potato famine to bring the Irish over. He may have let the economy of China get bad so many of them came here to survive. We seem to think that we know God's mind. We don't! No human can fathom God! In the Bible the One who claims He is God says that the earth is His. The Eternal claims ownership of everything. "The earth is the Lord's, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein." (Psalm 24:1) In another place He says, "I am the Alpha and the Omega--the beginning and the end." (Revelation 22:13) God says that, "It is He who has made us and not we ourselves." (Pay particular attention to the last statement as it contradicts the theory of evolution. Man did not evolve! God says He created us! John the Baptist said that, "...that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham." (Matthew 3:9). That's how powerful God is! There can be no man-made races. Man can not "mix" what God does not want mixed. God is responsible for mankind's existence. I have never met another person that I did not immediately recognize as a human being. I knew the minute I viewed or talked to them that they were human--not a dog or a cat! And you, if you are honest, know the same thing. Humans stand out as so different than animals that there is no real comparison. WHY can't there be a RACE problem? Because everything that God creates is very good (for the purpose he made it) there can be no "race problem." There never was one and there never will be one. Since God says He created the human race, our existence is authored by Him. God set in motion the biological process that results in the variety of human life. God said, " . . . Be fruitful and multiply." (Genesis 1:28). People did. Now there is a problem with that? God says that man is in His image--not some artificially defined man-made idea called "race." Think! None of us could have asked to exist before we were born. Therefore, we are not responsible for our existence. Neither did God tell us to go about playing god by spouting off who has a right to exist and who doesn't. Such arrogance is unbelievable! God created everyone of us! The "race problem" is an illusion in our mind. As such it is an individual "problem." Few people realize that when they look at another human being and see something other than someone made in the image of God they are looking at their own deep seated prejudices and hatreds. We need to sweep our mind of this baloney! If I do not love you, I do not love God. The problem is in the mind. That's where it needs to be dealt with. By defining "race" as a problem we delude ourselves that the "problem" is outside us. We inwardly reason "If that racially mixed person didn't exist I wouldn't have to deal with his watered down characteristics which I find disgusting. Nor would I have to hate him!" What sick logic that is! Sometimes people refer to the so called "racially mixed" as "mongrels." The word has a very negative connotation to it. A "mongrel" is not as "good" as a "pure breed!" There is an old saying that "beauty is in the eye of the beholder." Though true, it is hard for some people to believe. They don't believe their eyes (mind) are lying to them. They have been taught to see "inferiority" when they see certain characteristics. However, when a tall person marries a short person, they see no problem with their children coming out somewhere in between. But, make it skin color and they go ballistic. "Mongrel," they scream! Why would any loving being want to say that about their fellow man? There are no human mongrels. The word mongrel represents another one of man's stupid arbitrary definitions. Human beings made in the image of God are not to be referred to as mongrels! The scripture says if you call your brother "raca" you will be in danger of the judgment! Still, the basic question begs to be answered. Can people really have defective existences? What are the negative traits that exist because of "race mixing." When ever I have asked someone this question they stutter and stammer and can't give a civilized answer. Humans are human--that's all they are! If God never intended the "mixing of the races," that infers that there is a force stronger than God that defeated His purpose. God showed King Nebuchadnezzar who the "boss" was! God is the top. There is no one more powerful than Him! God knows how to run His universe. Satan tried to take on God...and Satan like lightening fell. As his servants we do not need to imply that He does not know what He is doing. It is not our job to go around playing god by proclaiming who should and should not exist. We are to preach the gospel. God is a wonderful being. He would never bring someone into existence and blame them for being here. Believe it or not God loves His creation (man). He created us and then gives us choices to make--whether to obey Him or not. God could force us to obey Him but, when has He ever? He always tries to reason with us and show us the way so we can choose it of our own free will. Now, if we created a car we wouldn't ask it if it wanted to obey us. If it didn't do what it was designed to do, we would repair it or destroy it. Every human being on this earth exists because God wants them too. If He didn't want them here He is powerful enough to stop their heart anytime He wants. There is no evidence that "racially mixed" people drop dead any faster than anyone else! Why is the PURE RACE idea CRAZY? The "pure race" idea is absurd. People are what they are! There is no "race problem." There are no people that should not exist. God's Kingdom is not divided against itself. Every human that walks this earth walks it because God wants them too. They are, according to God's word, made in His image. If you or someone else does not like God's handiwork that is between you and God not the object of your disdain. The race problem belongs to the person who defines it as such. If we do not like what God has created we ought to be honest enough to blame God and not someone who had nothing to do with it! We need to realize that we are supposed to see a prospective son or daughter of God when we look at another person--be their skin color black, white or any of the hues between. You and I are supposed to love our neighbors as we love ourselves. When are we going to get around to doing that? If we go around believing some people shouldn't exist, we are playing into Satan's hands. He would like to see all of us dead! I often tell people in counseling that if someone hates them because of "race," it is not their problem. It is God's. "They have not rejected you...they have rejected me...," says God. When a man criticizes God's handiwork, that man is more "righteous" in his own eyes than God. Self righteousness is probably man's biggest problem. I encourage people to give up the idea that they belong to any other "race" other than the human race. I encourage them to abandon the idea that they have defend "their people" (as if they could own and control others). I tell them there is no necessity to defend their "race." The "you people" and the "your people" statements imply that we can be responsible for others behaviors. The Bible teaches that we are all individuals and are responsible for our own deeds individually. None of us had anything to do with our "racial" heritage. Therefore, we have nothing to defend. Often people are surprised how well these ideas work. It is like letting go of the rope in a tug of war game that they have grown exhausted playing. Can you imagine confronting a person who wants to hold racist beliefs with the truth? Truly, the truth shall set you free! Here's the truth for racist ideas: "Look buddy, there is no use arguing your 'pure race' ideas with me. I can't do anything about my genetic background. Your real beef is with your Creator, God! Tell him what you really think. Tell Him that you do not like His creation. Tell Him that you think you could have done a better job than He did! Tell Him that you are ready to take over the running of the universe from Him. Tell him that he should have used his power to prevent "race mixing." None of us has to defend our existence! Our existence (creation) is God's responsibility. What we do after we are here is what is our responsibility! Conservatively speaking over a billion people on the earth are "racially mixed" (by definition). Do we honestly think that God made over a billion mistakes? Get real! Do you see why there is no race problem? God created people. It's OK for to be whatever He made you. Any one that thinks that anything can go on this earth and God not approve it, has simply stepped out of the teaching of the "word of God." See Job, Daniel and numerous other scriptures. Jesus said to Pilate about his "power" to crucify Him: "You would have no power over me if it were not given to you from above.." (John 19:11). We need to give up this silly man made ideas about race. We need to ask ourselves, what is wrong with a person looking the way they do? What is wrong with a person having the characteristics they have? If you are honest with yourself you will come to the same conclusion I came to: Human beings are miracles--each one of them. There is nothing wrong with them just because they exist. We need to like people because of their infinite variety and more importantly because our wonderful God says to. Shall we still CRITICIZE God? Essentially, racism is criticism of God's creativity. If we continue to spread Satan's propaganda about "race" we are going to have answer to God. If you will just stop and think about the things this article has informed you of, you will come to the same conclusion I have: God is in control of His universe, He knows what He is doing and there is no "race" problem! The race problem illusion disappears when we realize how powerful God really is and how much of a miracle we all are! |
