Proverbs 2:1-5
1 My son, if you receive my words, and treasure my commands within you, 2 So that you incline your ear to wisdom, and apply your heart to understanding; 3 Yes, if you cry out for discernment, and lift up your voice for understanding, 4 If you seek her as silver, and search for her as for hidden treasures; 5 Then you will understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.

1 My son, do not forget my law, but let your heart keep my commands; 2 For length of days and long life and peace they will add to you.

Proverbs 13:13-14
13 He who despises the word will be destroyed, but he who fears the commandment will be rewarded. 14 The law of the wise is a fountain of life, to turn one away from the snares of death.

16 He who keeps the commandment keeps his soul, but he who is careless of his ways will die.

4 Those who forsake the law praise the wicked, but such as keep the law contend with them.
