Pisidian Antioch: Area visited by the Apostle Paul during his Missionary Journeys

This area in modern-day Turkey was called Antioch in Pisidia (Pisidian Antioch) to distinguish it from Antioch in Syria. The apostle Paul visited this area twice (Acts 13:14 and Acts 14:21-24). This part of Turkey was notorious for its many robbers in Paul's day, and may have been one of the places he alludes to when he states in 2Corinthians 11:26 that he experienced during his journeys "perils of robbers. . . "
