The Roman Forum is located between Palatine and Capitoline hills in the city of Rome, Italy.  It was the central area around which the Roman civilization developed.  It was the place where business, prostitution, cult and the administration of justice took place.  The forum was not only considered the economic hub of Rome but also the CENTER of the Republic and the Empire.

The Roman Forum includes a modern statue of Julius Caesar and ancient ruins such as:

  • The Temples of Castor and Pollux, Saturn, Caesar, Vespasian and Titus, and Romulus.

  • The Aemilia, Julia and Maxentius / Constantine Basilicas.

  • The Arches of Septimius Severus, Titus, Tiberius and Augustus.

The Roman Forum also included the Umbilicus Urbi, the designated center of the city from which and to which all distances in Rome and the Roman Empire were measured.
