  1. Based on Archbishop Usher's chronology Adam was created in 4004 B.C. Recent research, however, states that the creation of man occurred in 4025 B.C. The Hebrew Calendar begins its count of years with what is believed to be the first year of creation.  Year 1 on the Hebrew calendar is 3761 B.C.

  6. Abraham, Isaac and Jacob live in land of Israel. (1921 B.C. to 1690 B.C.)

  7. Joseph is sold into Egyptian slavery by his brothers. This event eventually leads to the children of Israel migrating to Egypt.

  8. Slavery in Egypt by children of Israel

  9. God through Moses leads children of Israel out of Egypt to Mount Sinai, where Moses receives the law of God. (1491 B.C.)

  10. Children of Israel wander in desert 40 years as punishment for disobeying God. (1491 to 1451 B.C.)

  11. Children of Israel enter and conquer promised land. Judges, then kings (Saul, David, Solomon) rule nation of Israel. Israel's kingdom divides into two pieces: Israel (northern ten tribes of Israel) and Judah (tribes of Judah, Benjamin and priestly tribe of Levi). (1451 B.C. to 930 B.C.)

  1. Samaria, the capital of the Northern Ten Tribes of Israel, is conquered by the Assyrian King Shalmaneser V in 723 B.C. The nation of Israel is taken captive to Assyria.

 
  1. Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar lays siege to Jerusalem. He destroys the city and burns Jerusalem's temple. Judah is taken captive to Babylon.
  2. The Babylonian empire is conquered by the Persians. Persian King Cyrus allows Jewish captives to go back to land of Israel and rebuild the temple in Jerusalem. (515 B.C.)

  3. Jerusalem and the temple are rebuilt. (starts 515 B.C.)

  4. Birth, ministry and death of Jesus followed by ministry of the Apostles.

    (Jesus is born c. 5 B.C. and lives until 30 A.D.  The ministry of the apostles runs from 30 A.D. to death of apostle John c. 98 to 100 A.D.)

  5. Center of Apostle Paul's missionary journeys.

  6. First Missionary Journey of Apostle Paul. (44 to 46 A.D.)
  7. Second Missionary Journey of Apostle Paul. (49 to 52 A.D.)

  8. Third Missionary Journey of Apostle Paul. (53 to 58 A.D.)
  9. Fourth Missionary Journey of Apostle Paul. Paul is taken to Rome as a prisoner and put in prison.

    Paul's fourth missionary journey lasts from 58 to 61 A.D. In Rome Paul is acquitted of the charges against him in 63 A.D. It is believed Paul traveled to the island of Crete, Nicopolis, Spain and Britain from 63 A.D. to 67 A.D. In 67 A.D. Paul is back in a Roman prison. The apostle Paul finally dies a martyr's death in May or June of 68 A.D.

  10. The apostle John writes the book of Revelation. (c. 95 to 96 A.D.)
