King David won military victories over the Amalekites, Ammonites, Edomites, Moabites, Philistines and Syrians (2Samuel 8). David was King over a united Israel from 1010 to 970 B.C. His son Solomon, who God made the wisest man who would ever live, ruled Israel from 970 to 930 B.C.
