A. The sixth commandment in Exodus 20 and Deuteronomy 5 tell us not to murder another human being without cause. The question that people today have is what is a human being? They are refusing to obey the word that God had written for the benefit of all of us. God speaks of knowing someone in the womb like with Jeremiah.

"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations." (Jeremiah 1:5)

How could someone be known by God in the womb if God had not given that person a soul and mind and spirit which makes that person a human being?

Jesus was given the Holy Spirit from conception in its entirety. He was begotten by it making him a special human being who has the mind of God not the mind of man within him. That is why he is called God with us or Immanuel. (Isaiah 7:14 and Matthew 1:23)

Another bit of evidence to prove that human beings are considered by God as whole and viable from conception is the fact that God knew before children were born what kind of people that they would be.

"And the LORD said to her: 'Two nations are in your womb, Two peoples shall be separated from your body; One people shall be stronger than the other, And the older shall serve the younger. ' " (Genesis 25:23-24)

So when her days were fulfilled for her to give birth, indeed there were twins in her womb. He considers all men to be human at the time of conception not at the time of birth. If these children would have been aborted then the whole fabric of history would have been changed. How can we know how many things might have been changed had all those millions of babies aborted or left on a rock to die of exposure over the past years would have been permitted to live and contribute to the world's total intelligentsia.

He says in another place:

"As you do not know what is the way of the wind, Or how the bones grow in the womb of her who is with child, So you do not know the works of God who makes everything. " (Ecclesiastes 11:5)

This passage shows that not only does God consider the child within a womb he made it that way on purpose. God is the giver of the spirit that makes a human a human.

"Then the dust will return to the earth as it was, And the spirit will return to God who gave it." (Ecclesiastes 12:7)

So if God has put into man his spirit so that he can think and create and act as a human who will become the Sons and Daughters of God at a later time then abortion is denying God his family. So when we take the life of an innocent baby even if only a two celled fetus we are killing a human being without cause. May God bless your study of his word.
