Q. Does the Bible teach that we are to eat unleavened bread for seven (7) days during the 'days of unleavened bread' (Biblical holy days that occur in the Spring) and NOT eat bread that is leavened?

A. God does not change. The holy days were given to help us and our children understand God's Plan for mankind. We know that unleavened bread represents Christ's body and that is why God said to eat unleavened bread for seven days. He didn't what us to have the leavened bread of the world in our lives; He wanted us to have the unleavened bread of Jesus Christ. The Days of Unleavened Bread represents putting sin (leaven) out of our life and replacing that with Jesus Christ our savior. What better time to memorialize His death by the the daily receiving of His body as a sacrifice for our sins!
"The LORD said to Moses, "Speak to the Israelites and say to them: 'These are my appointed feasts, the appointed feasts of the LORD, which you are to proclaim as sacred assemblies.
"'There are six days when you may work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of rest, a day of sacred assembly. You are not to do any work; wherever you live, it is a Sabbath to the LORD.
"'These are the LORD'S appointed feasts, the sacred assemblies you are to proclaim at their appointed times: The LORD'S Passover begins at twilight on the fourteenth day of the first month. On the fifteenth day of that month the LORD'S Feast of Unleavened Bread begins; for seven days you must eat bread made without yeast. On the first day hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work. For seven days present an offering made to the LORD by fire. And on the seventh day hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work.'" " (Leviticus 23:1-8, NIV)
