Will miscarried or aborted babies

Will miscarried or aborted fetuses (babies)
be resurrected and given a full chance at life?

Q. Will miscarried or aborted fetuses (babies) be resurrected and given a chance to grow up?

A. Some Christians believe that a baby or fetus who has not taken breath, a miscarriage or aborted fetus, will not be resurrected. Others believe that a fetus becomes a new separate being or life at conception and, therefore, would be resurrected if miscarried or aborted.

Genesis Chapter 2, verse 7 states:

"And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul (living being in the KJV Bible).

Adam became a living being when he received the breath of life. The word for breath in Hebrew can also be translated spirit.

James Chapter 2, verse 26 states:

"For as the body without the spirit is dead so . . ." (NKJV).

The word translated spirit comes from the Greek word pneuma which can also be translated as breath. Therefore, when the spirit or breath is gone from a person, that person is dead.

The big question is when does God consider a fetus to be a new living being, at conception or at birth?

It seems logical that God gives the human spirit (spirit in man) to a fetus at conception. He does not wait until the fetus is born and breathes air for the first time in order to give him or her the spirit necessary to be considered fully human. A miscarriage or aborted baby will be resurrected some day and given a chance to grow up and reach his or her full potential as a human being and potential member of God's family.

Two scriptures supporting the view that a fetus is considered by God to be fully human are:

"For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he (John the Baptist) shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb" (Luke 1:15, KJV).

John the Baptist was filled with the Holy Spirit as a fetus in his mother’s womb.

"And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; . . ." (Luke 1:41, KJV).

John as a fetus leaped in his mothers womb upon the sound of Mary’s voice.
