Technically, we could seize upon any physical characteristics people share such as brown eyes and define that as a racial group. Thus we create the brown eyed race. Furthermore we could convince ourselves that people should only have brown eyes. Brown eyed people are pure. Therefore, brown eyed people should only marry other brown eyed people. If you were to marry someone without brown eyes you would be miscegenating! If we could convince enough people to go along with this charade we could socially and morally castigate those that didn't go along with our ideas (silly as they are). Chomp, chomp. chomp on the tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. If we can get some religious people to say God thinks the same way we do--all the better. Nothing like the credibility of God to add weight to our opinions. We could say, "God never intended the mixing of brown eyed people with blue eyed people." See how easy it is to create a problem by simply saying there is one! We could use any characteristic imagined or real that any of several people shared and end up defining into existence dozens of races and all kinds of ridiculousness about nothing, Now all we would need is some gullible people to become true believers. WHY does the "race" concept matter? So why does it matter? Well, there are human beings on the other side of this nonsense. If they think they are racially mixed they can really do a number on themselves. They may choose to feel inferior. And inferior people are often violent, hostile and aggressive. Since God created us as social beings, God wants us to get along with each other. Satan, God's enemy, hates our guts. He doesn't want us to get along. From something that was only meant to provide variety, he has deceived us into we using differences to create divisions and hatreds. Satan wants us to spend all of our time solving problems that do not exist. That will minimize the odds of us collectively turning on him.. The Bible says that it is going to happen anyway. "And they shall gaze upon Him and say, 'Can this be He that deceived the nations?'" Satan gets us to justify our fascists ideas by lying that God is very concerned about people's genetic makeup. If it really made a difference to God He would do something about it. God is all powerful. Nothing or no one can thwart His will. Someone once asked "Can a leopard change its spots?" Of course not. Neither can a human change his genetic make up. Truthfully, we have nothing to do with our genetic heritage. Anyone with two brain cells working can figure that out! Before you existed you wouldn't have been able to choose your parents--let along their genetic heritage. Give me a break! Can anyone really be so stupid to think that Noah or anyone else made sure their parents kept themselves racially pure before they even existed? Wow, that is a stretch! Many Christians realize that there is a non-physical component in humans. The Bible calls it the spirit in man. Without that spirit a human would not be a human. According to God that spirit is given by Him (probably at conception). God therefore is intimately involved with the "creation" of each person that exists. He knows all of us by name and better than we know ourselves! If He knows every sparrow that falls to the earth, He also knows each person that exists (after all He created them). Tower of Babel Once long ago people decided that they old build a tower to reach to the heavens. One wonders if the people that built the tower of Babel were naive enough to think their tower would actually intrude into God's domain. From our point of view we would find the idea of building a tower to reach outer space ridiculous. We have rockets today. And we realize that our rockets are very limited in their speed and travel distance. After all the closest galaxy is light years away. We haven't even approached the speed of light in terms of rocket speed. The universe is a very big place. God says He created it. One thing we know for sure is that we didn't! God says the nations are less than the dust on the balance scale compared to Him and His universe. That makes you and I less than one six billionth of a piece of dust. We are all very insignificant when compared to Him and His power. What this means is we nor anything we do is really a threat to Him. He is not disappointed in us. He is not angry with us! These are common concepts that some religious people believe with all their heart. They make the mistake of reading the Bible from their point of view and thus it becomes a stumbling block to them. Put simply, the Bible is a book that describes God's plan to create His greatest creation- Mankind. God is making man in His own image. God is using this life and all its experiences to create individual beings that will come to the same conclusion that He has--love is the only way that we can all live together in peace. When I say love I mean unconditional positive regard for all people (including those that oppose themselves). That's love for every man woman and child that walks or has ever walked this planet. Now that task is what God is working on. Looking at all the power that is evident in the small part of the universe that I can observe, I have come to the conclusion that He has enough power and intelligence to pull it off. Since I am on God's side, I have the responsibility to uphold human life. Lies are lies. Anything that would oppose the existence of another human being is therefore subject to my wrath! The pure race is one lie whose time is come to be exposed! It is just a way that Satan has tricked some of us into hating others. Can you imagine living in a world where everyone likes and loves everyone else? Imagine the achievements that will happen. Imagine the beauty that will be everywhere when everyone cooperates. If there is something wrong with a person's existence, what can be done? If you have the unfortunate circumstance to be defined as belonging to a man-made race, you are just defective. Too Bad! Have you ever noticed that most of the people that write or profess racial purity think of themselves as racially pure? Kind of biased isn't it--like the fox guarding the hen house? If you believe the race stuff, you are in company with Adolph Hitler and all other Fascists. Less than Human? The funny part of about all this is that there is no evidence that anyone who is "racially mixed" is any less human than anyone else? The "racially mixed" walk, they talk, they eat, they sleep, they go to the bathroom, and they want to be loved. What are the differences? The differences though supposedly physical are all imagined and definitional. There is not one shred of evidence that any human being that exists is any less human than any other human being. That is reality. How we look at each other is the real issue. We "justify" treating others badly based on our view that they are genetically inferior man made people. Get real! We need to stop taking to ourselves the knowledge of good and evil. We need to stop looking at people in any other way than what they are--beings made in the image of God! The real problem between us is our false philosophy of life. When one human being picks up a rock to throw at and hurt another human being is He doing it because of the genetics of that person? Or is he doing it because he has learned to hate another human and to think of them as inferior? Ultimately, he is doing it because he has chosen to do it.. The way we look at people is the real culprit and cause of our hostilities towards each other. From God's point of view there is no race problem. God claims He created all of us. And it was very good. Not only that, He says He owns everything and everyone. If you do not like a person because of some physical characteristic they have, you have a problem with God. It was His creative genius that caused all the differences in the human race. Whether it is a pink petunia, a red one or a purple one, it is still a petunia. So if you want to hate a petunia for its color, that's your choice. But if you don't like what is created, you have a problem with its Creator. It is your problem-not the petunia's. God's creativity is the reason there are different color petunias and green eyes. He is the cause for curly hair, straight hair , blond hair, black hair, fair skin, dark skin and any other hue that exist. Whatever characteristic His creation has is because the Creator put it there. "Racially" Mixed? What about the term, racially mixed? Can you be racially mixed? When you really think about it, its just some words that someone strung together to ultimately try to and make some human beings feel bad. Doing this is the essence of what the Bible calls "taking to one's self the knowledge of good and evil." According to authors of the race idea, you or anyone they think is inferior, is inferior because they say you are. How should you look at you? If you look at yourself as racially mixed, you need to correct your view of yourself. Since there is but one race you can't be racially mixed. If you look at yourself as racially pure--you are right. But just remember everyone is racially pure (pure human). Just as there are no half dog- half alligators, there are no half-breed humans. Everyone is totally human and belongs to the human race. There is one race! And, God made it. If you have light skin-good for you! If you have brown skin, good for you! If you are six feet tall, good for you. If you are five feet eleven inches good for you. Should you be proud of your physical characteristics? Probably not. You had nothing to do with causing them! However, you, what ever kind of body you live in, have just as much right to walk this planet as any other human being. You are my brother, and I am yours. God made you and me! He is responsible for our existence. You do not have to apologize to me for existing and I do no have to apologize to you for existing. You do not have to convince anyone else that God made you. You can believe whatever you want in the privacy of your own mind. Furthermore, what anyone thinks of the "lowest" human, Jesus said they think of Him. If I were you, I would talk myself into loving every person that exists on this planet (including you). That's what I try to do. We need to carefully examine our thinking process and bring it in line with the way God and His Son Jesus thinks. What's more, we would do well to stop propagating false concepts about their being "pure" people and "mixed" people. Should you EXIST? How would you like it if someone came up to you and said that God never intended you to exist? That because of your genetic make up, you are less of a human than you could have been if your parents had been pure racially (whatever that is). How mean can people be? You wonder how they can believe some of the things they do. But they do. No evidence supports their arguments about race mixing but they believe them anyway. As Benjamin Franklin once said, "Convinced against their will of the same opinion still." Most of the "minorities" (people) that are the brunt of this sort of "logic" (actually lack of logic) are busy hating themselves--partly because they believe this nonsense. They try to pull themselves up by their bootstraps. They feel they have to earn the right to exist by proving they are just as good as the "pure." The arguments that I have used to annihilate these silly race ideas probably won't stop the true believers. They will probably patronize and pat the "defects" on their heads. and say, "Oh you are just bitter because you aren't pure. If your parents had not crossed the genetic lines you wouldn't have to be the brunt of our unwillingness to see reality! We 'pure' people can accept and like only those people who meet our definition of what characteristics 'pure' humans are suppose to have. You are miscegenated because your parents disobeyed God. You should really try and make the best of it. But, you will never be as good as we are! We are 'pure' (and full of baloney)!" What about the animal breeding analogy? "Everyone knows that animals are bred to maintain the integrity of the original stock," goes the argument. It is then inferred, though not usually verbalized, that people should be bred like animals. We eat animals. Should we also eat people (yuck!)? When a man wants his cow to get pregnant he may arrange for a neighbor's prize bull to stud the cow. So, if we use the human-animal breeding analogy, should you , when your daughter is ready to have a child call the neighbor's son, because he is handsome, and has the "characteristics" your daughter and you want in a baby? Should he impregnate your daughter (as well as all your other neighbors that want perfect grand children)? Reasoning by analogy does have its problems. I wonder what her husband would think of your breeding idea? More importantly, what does God think about it? Animals do not marry. Animals have multiple sex partners. We are not animals. We have children to love them, nurture them and create a family. There is a lot of difference between us and animals It is insulting to compare God's greatest creation to barnyard animals. We might act like them sometimes, but that's not our most noble behavior! Remember, Satan likes to make people as miserable as possible. If he can deceive people in to pushing his silly misery causing ideas, he will! If I hate you that's one thing. If I teach you how to hate yourself that's another. It's like this: Remember the old adage, "Feed a man a fish and you feed him only one meal. Teach him how to fish and your feed him for life?" Satan deceives well meaning people in to pushing his "pure" race baloney. Let's say that I think I belong to a "pure" race. Satan infects me with his lies about race. I tell as many people as I can that God never intended the mixing of the races. I will sell the idea with much zeal because I think I am doing it for God. "There were only to be three races but now there are four--the latter one being man-made. Man wrongly mixed the races!" It's just like torturing someone. The torturer does not feel the pain he inflicts on his victim. Consequently, he can easily and comfortably torture. The same thing is true with the pure race concept. The person selling the ideas, since he thinks he is "pure," suffers no loss by proclaiming it true. It will be left to the "racially mixed" person ( the victim of the deception) to punish themselves over not being able to change their spots. And what does Satan do--sit back and laugh his head off! A Practical Solution Let me give you a practical solution to the so called race problem.. If your are a victim of your fellow man's deception, remember he is deceived and has an excuse. If you can, try and talk him out of his deception (it will probably help you more than it helps him). If he continues to believe what he did before you talked to him, remember his real "beef" is with God--not you or anyone else!. In reality, he does not like God's creativity. Since he is criticizing God for making you, he is also setting himself up for a Job like experience. Tribulation comes to those who can not be reasoned with. It puts them on the other side of their ridiculous reasoning. When they become the victims of discrimination they will realize why it's wrong to discriminate. When Pharaoh became the victim of the discrimination he wished on his Jewish brothers he got the point. Know one thing, none of us, including you, created ourselves. We have nothing to do with our genetic heritage. Because God is all wise and all powerful, He is responsible for that. He created the genetic process that produces the variety of people that walk the earth. Either He is God or He is not. Look into the heavens and see the power of God. All the suns in the universe add up to only a fraction of the power that is His. He says that the nations are less than the dust in the balance. Since that is true, puny man is less that one six billionth of a piece of dust. No one can thwart God's plan. Jesus statement you can do nothing except my Father in heaven allows it is not an exaggeration. No one can stand up to God! If He does not want someone to exist there is nothing that anyone can do about it.. God can not be all powerful and irresponsible. He is the Alpha and the Omega--the beginning and the end. God set the boundaries of the nations, says the scriptures. So, everyone is exactly where He wants them to be! God's plan is on schedule. He knows what He is doing. And it is all going to work out the way He planned it! Conclusion of the matter God created you and wants you to be his son. You have nothing to be ashamed of because you exist in whatever color or body type you exist in. If someone else tells you shouldn't exist., don't buy it. No one is man made! That is utter hogwash of the worst kind. God knows every hair on your head. He knows you by name because he created you. If God is for you who can be against you? He is for you (and all the rest of mankind even if they are deceived)! Sure you may be the victim of discrimination because of the ignorance of your fellow man. But remember God loves you, likes you and wants you to live forever with Him.. And, there are a lot of true Christians that love you with all their heart also. I hope you consider me one. End the race issue the only place it exists, in your mind! That way there will be one less person to "undeceive!" Every human is made in the image of God. Then, may be you will realize that so much of who people are is how we look at them. |
