She encouraged her husband, King Ahab, to pursue idolatry and to lead Israel to do the same. Her bad behavior was so renowned that her name was used in the New Testament as a symbol of someone who leads others into sin (Revelation 2:20).

At least six Old Testament individuals are named Joash. The most important of these was Joash who was the eighth ruler over the Kingdom of Judah. His reign started at the tender age of seven, the youngest known monarch to take the throne of either Israel or Judah. His rule ran from 835 to 796 B.C.
The Joash found in 1Chronicles 7:8 and 27:28 comes from the Hebrew word which means "Jehovah hastens" (Strong's #3135).
The KJV Old Testament erroneous has the name Jehoash in 2Kings 11:21 and 12:1 - 18. The correct name in these places should be Joash.

Mark, who was also known as John Mark (Acts 12:12, 25, 15:37), wrote one of the four gospels. He aided the Apostles Paul and Peter in their ministries.
John, the son of Ananus (Annas) the High Priest, himself served as High Priest from 36 to 37 A.D. (Acts 4:6).
